| MONTHLY FAVORITES | NOVEMBER 2016

November is nearly over and December is almost upon us, so it's time for another Monthly Favorites post! Monthly Favorites posts are one of my favorite because it gives me a chance to share with you some products I've been using recently that I love but don't normally talk about.

Here are a few things I've been loving in November!

R + Co Death Valley Dry Shampoo

I received this dry shampoo in a Birchbox and I've been using it this past month every time my hair needs a quick refresh. The smell is amazing and it makes my hair look amazing!

Covergirl The Super Sizer Mascara

When I first bought this mascara, (because I heard great reviews about it), I couldn't quite figure out what all the hype was about it. However, this past month, this has been my go-to mascara every single day. It makes your lashes longer and thicker and it never clumps. I'm in love with it now!

Wet n Wild Megaglo Highlighting Gold Bar

I saw this all over Instagram and knew I had to get my hands on it. When I finally did, I fell in love the first time I used it. It gives a beautiful glow and it works for multiple skin tones.

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream

I've finally jumped on the NYX matte lip cream train. Not sure why it took me this long, but I've really been missing out. This doesn't dry out your lips and the application is so amazing. I currently have one, but I'm going to buy every single one!

Wet n Wild Brushes

Not only are these brushes absolutely gorgeous, they're also really affordable, (hello, $1). These brushes work great for the price tag, I'm constantly reaching for them over some of the more expensive brushes I have. My favorite is definitely the crease brush. It's super fluffy and soft and does an amazing job at blending shadows.

Amazing Grace Whipped Body Creme

Cold weather means drier skin and this is one of my favorite lotions to use to get rid of it. The packaging is so pretty and it smells so good! I just put it all over my body as soon as I get out of the shower and my skin stays smooth and hydrated all day.

That's everything I've been loving this month! Let me know in the comments what your favorite things are this month!

Don't forget to enter my giveaway! I'm giving away the Too Faced Grande Hotel Cafe! Hurry, it ends December 9th!

| What I'm Thankful For |

Thanksgiving is in a couple of days and whether you celebrate it or not, it's a good time to think about the things in life you're thankful for. It's easy to take things for granted in everyday life, and it's easy to feel like you have nothing sometimes. I took a little time to reflect on my life and I've made a list of some of the things I'm thankful for.

I'm Thankful For...

1. My boyfriend is my rock, my biggest supporter, and my best friend. We've been together for over 6 years now and we've certainly had our ups and downs, but we're always there for each other. I'm so thankful that I met him, that we've been in love all this time, and that I've been able to be in a long, rewarding relationship with him.

2. My family. I'm a huge family person, they mean everything to me. I'm so thankful that everyone in my family is currently in good health and happy. My siblings and I have all figured out what we want out of our lives, and I'm so happy.

3. I'm thankful to have a place to sleep and food to eat. I have a job that pays my bills and I don't have to worry about basic necessities. Not everyone has these basic needs, and I'm thankful that I do.

4. I'm thankful that I'm healthy; mentally and physically. I'm thankful that I have access to healthcare.

5. I'm thankful that I have the opportunity to pursue whatever I want in life. I can choose to be whatever or whoever I want to be.

6. I'm thankful for every single person who supports or has supported me throughout this journey. Without you guys, I would have given up on this a long time ago. Thank you to everyone for all the likes, follows, reads, shares, tweets, etc. I love you all and I'm extremely thankful for all you do!

What are you thankful for? Let me know in the comments!

Please keep in mind this Thanksgiving and this holiday season that there are people and families in need of basic necessities like food. If possible, donate to whatever organization you feel like, that helps those in need. People need food, clothes, hygiene products, feminine care products, etc. Donate whatever you can! Every little bit helps!

I want to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving! Whatever you do, enjoy! :)

| EMPTIES! | November 2016

Have you ever been in the shower, ya know just singing and doing your thing, when you go to use your shampoo or body wash and it's completely empty and you have to either go without it or drip all over the bathroom floor to look for a new one? That happened to me the other day, but with literally every product I needed to use. I have no idea what happened, but all of my products were empty! That's when I realized I'm way overdo for an Empties post...and I really need to get my act together.
This is a big one so sit tight!

Philosophy Passion Fruit Daiquiri Shampoo, Shower Gel & Bubble Bath
&
Philosophy Basil Cucumber Cooler Shampoo, Shower Gel & Bubble Bath

My mom gave me a whole bunch of these Philosophy products, so you'll probably see more in another empties post. I just use them as a shower gel/body wash and occasionally to make a bath. They both smell delicious and, when used as a bubble bath, make huge bubbles. I love them.

Rimmel London Stay Matte Liquid Mousse Foundation

One of my favorite foundations from the drug store. I love using this foundation on days where I need a little more coverage. I currently have another one and I'll probably repurchase this foundation again in the future.

Maybelline Fit Me Matte & Poreless Foundation

Another drugstore foundation favorite, I have like five more of these in my makeup drawer. This foundation gives my skin a flawless, matte finish and I love it!

L'Oreal EverStyle Beach Spray

I've had this for a long time, it's not completely empty but it's close enough and I have a few other beach wave sprays I've been using. I like this spray because it gives my hair messy waves but it doesn't make my hair hard or crusty like some other products do. I might repurchase this, but not for a little while. I want to use up my other sprays first.

Shimmer Lights Shampoo & Conditioner

I dye my hair blonde, so this shampoo and conditioner are an essential for me. The purple shampoo and conditioner tone my hair every time I use it to remove any yellow or brassy tones. I have a new one of each in my shower right now, and I'll definitely keep purchasing these.

Wet n Wild Under The Sheets Makeup Remover Wipes

I picked these up at Dollar Tree because I was genuinely curious about how well they would work. I really don't enjoy using them to remove makeup from my face, they just don't do a very good job. I do, however, like to use them for wiping my hands when I swatch products so I don't waste my good wipes. If I see them for a dollar again, then I would buy more for that reason, but I wouldn't pay anything more.

Global Beauty Care Collagen Makeup Remover Wipes

I purchased these from Dollar Tree as well. I use these wipes for the same reason as the Wet n Wild ones, just for removing swatches. When used on my face, they just don't get all of the makeup off. I would probably buy these again just because they're a dollar and they're great to have around for swatches.

Beauty 360 Radiant Sea Mineral Body Wash

This is just from CVS' line of products. It's an exfoliating body wash that smells amazing. I actually really like this body wash, I'm definitely considering repurchasing it!

NYX Micro Brow Pencil

This brow pencil is amazing. I've yet to try anything better from the drugstore, it really does compare to some higher end brands. This is my go-to brow pencil, I already have a few back ups!

What products have you recently used up and loved? I'd love to hear about them in the comments!

| FAVORITE FALL NAIL POLISH COLORS | Best Nail Polish Shades For November

I'm a total nail polish hoarder! I really can't help myself from buying a new polish every time I stop at the drugstore. There are so many pretty colors and nail polish is one of the most affordable beauty products out there, I really don't have a reason to not buy so many!
Usually I pick out a few shades from my stash every month to use that I feel represent the time of year. Today I'm going to share with you some of my favorite nail polish shades for the month of November!

Pop-Arazzi Nail Polish in Sizzlin' Siren:

I love browns and purples in November and this polish has both! Its a perfect brownish plum shade.

L.A. Colors Gel Nail Polish in Flirt:

This is a deep blush shade and it's one of the best neutral colors for the month of November and for the fall in general.

Wet n Wild Fast Dry Nail Polish in 9.0.2.1.Orange:

A fun shimmery orange to brighten up your nails. I love this shade as an alternative to the usually neutral or dark colors I wear on my nails in the fall.

Wet n Wild Wild Shine Nail Polish in Yo Soy:

This creamy beige shade is one of my favorite ever! Super neutral but its also light, it's really chic!

Wet n Wild Wild Shine Nail Polish in Grape Minds Think Alike:

This color is a bright berry and it's a great color for a Thanksgiving dinner!

Wet n Wild Mega Last Nail Polish in Just Picked:

This is a light red polish with a satiny look. It's my favorite for the end of November, because it also makes a great polish to have on in December!

What are some of your favorite nail polish colors for the fall or November. Let me know in the comments!

| NOVEMBER BIRCHBOX |

My November Birchbox has arrived and I couldn't be any more excited! So far, I've been very impressed by the samples I've gotten. Birchbox is like a gift to myself that I get once a month for being so awesome, that although I know it's coming, I'm always surprised when it comes.

If you don't know what Birchbox is, let me first explain it so you can jump on board. Birchbox is a monthly subscription box that features makeup, skincare, and beauty products. Each month you receive 5 samples that are curated to your preferences and needs. The best part is, it only costs $10!
If you're interested in subscribing to Birchbox click this link:

Now let's check out what I scored this month!

Phyto Paris Phytodefrisant Botanical Straightening Balm:

This sample is huge! So big in fact, the box could barely stay closed! It's a heat activated straightening balm that is supposed to soften, moisturize and protect hair. I can't wait to try this out because my hair has been so dry and frizzy lately!

Balance Me Tinted Wonder Eye Cream:

A decent sized eye cream sample that has anti-aging vitamins. It also says it helps with uneven skin tones. I'm excited about this because eye cream tends to be something I don't really think about buying, but I should really start using.

Benefit Roller Lash Mascara:

So excited about this mascara! I've heard nothing but great things about it!

Coastal Scents Blush and Highlighter Duo:

This sample includes two shades from the Coastal Scents Blush and Bronzer Palette. The blush is super pretty when swatched and I tried out the highlighter on my face last night and it is so amazing, I don't even have the words to describe it. I'm really considering buying the full size palette!

Lavanila The Healthy Fragrance - Pure Vanilla:

I'm just going to be brutally honest, this smells terrible. I love vanilla scented products, but this is just way too strong.

That's everything I got in my November Birchbox! I'm pretty happy about most of the samples. My favorite is the Coastal Scents Duo, and my least favorite is the Pure Vanilla Fragrance.
What did you get in your November Birchbox? Did you love your box this month or no?

| DOLLAR TREE HAUL NOVEMBER 2016 + FAMILY DOLLAR | Name Brand & Christmas Finds!

I love popping into the dollar store every once in a while. You can score some pretty good deals if you look hard enough, and I love the thrill of the hunt, if that's what you want to call it! I recently went to my local Dollar Tree, where everything is only $1, and my local Family Dollar store and I found some pretty cool stuff.
I'm a total sucker for Christmas and I found a whole bunch of Christmas stuff at the dollar store. I know it's still a little early but I figured I could get all the stuff I actually want before it sold out. I also found some name brand items at the dollar store that I really couldn't pass up!

Dollar Tree:

My Dollar Tree is awesome because they always have Wet n Wild products!

- Wet n Wild Under The Sheets Makeup Removing Wipes (10 pack)

I picked up two packs of these makeup removing wipes. I finished one already so I didn't include it in the picture. These are alright, certainly not the best at removing makeup though. I think I'm going to get a few more packs to use for swatches that way I don't waste my good wipes.

- Wet n Wild Crease Brush

I have a few of these crease brushes already and every time I go to Dollar Tree I buy myself another one! This is one of my favorite brushes ever. It's so fluffy and makes blending eyeshadow so easy!

I also found these Scunci hair ties! The pack on the left comes with 30 hair ties and the colors are so cute! The pack on the left comes with 14 hair ties and includes some grays and navy blues.
I got so many of these because I plan on using them for a few gifts I'm putting together!

I've seen a couple of people haul these clear, plastic makeup organizers and I got one too! They had a ton of different varieties and shapes, but I can totally see these selling out fast!
I only got one because I'm still not sure how I'm planning on officially organizing my makeup.

I found these super cute candle holders. They had them in silver and gold and in a few different patterns. I'm not too sure what I'm going to do with them yet but they're so pretty!

They had these candle holders too, which I thought would look prefect as makeup brush holders or pencil holders. I got one in black and two in white.

I love collecting cute socks and I usually grab a pair when I go to Dollar Tree.
I got the two knee high socks for a holiday party at my job and the other two are crew length socks that were just too cute to pass up!

I scored these stocking holders at Dollar Tree too. They're ceramic and they look and feel like great quality. It really looks like I spent more than a dollar on these! I think these were the only two characters they had, so I got both.

I only buy tissue paper at the dollar store. No reason to spend anything more on thin, decorative paper that just ends up getting thrown out. I got 4 packs in different designs, they're all so cute and festive!

Here are a few miscellaneous holiday themed items I got!
- 3 pack of gift boxes. (2)
- Giant Gift Bag
- Small Penguin "Candy" Bags
- 2 Pack of Small Gift Bags

Family Dollar:

I picked up these two L.A. Colors holiday gift sets. Sometimes with cheap brands, you get lucky, and I figured I'd give it a shot.
The eyeshadow holiday kit, which is $3, comes with three interchangeable palettes; a smokey one, a natural one, and a colorful one. I haven't played around with it much yet but I have swatched a few of the colors and they're not too bad!
The lip holiday kit, which is $5, comes with three matte lipsticks, two matte liquid lipsticks, and one lip liner. I've played with these and they're pretty good.
I can do a full review on these to see if they're worth it or not, let me know in the comments if you want to see it!

I also picked up a few other miscellaneous "beauty" items.
- Penguin socks- not beauty but super duper cute!
- Cotton Rounds
- L.A. Colors Eye Makeup Remover Pads and Nail Polish Remover Pads
- Eyebrow Shavers

More Christmas, yay!

- 2 packs of 2 Shirt Boxes
- Gift Tags (120 count)

That's everything I got at Dollar Tree and Family Dollar this time around. I'll probably be heading back to the dollar store again within the next few weeks to pick up a few holiday items I forgot, I'll be sure to share with you what I got!
Let me know in the comments if you've recently gone to the dollar store and what you got!

| BEAUTY CONFERENCE BUCKET LIST | Beauty Conferences I Want To Attend In 2017

One of my goals for 2017 is to attend some beauty conferences. I've been fascinated with them since starting my blogging journey but I haven't had the chance to attend any. I really want to attend as many as possible because I think beauty conferences are essential for beauty bloggers.
Beauty conferences are so important because they allow you to make personal connections with brands, influencers, and fellow members of the beauty community; sample and purchase products, some that may even be early releases; and some conferences even offer educational and training services that can make a huge impact on bloggers and beauty lovers alike.

Beauty Conference Bucket List 2017:

1. BeautyCon

One of the most popular beauty conferences, all of my favorite beauty bloggers and vloggers attend this event. You get to meet some of your faves, sample products from different brand, and you even get a goody bag stuffed with some of the most popular beauty products at the moment. What's not to love?

2. IMATS

IMATS stands for International Makeup Artist Trade Show but anyone is allowed to attend. Many professionals attend this event, so it's a great place to learn new things about beauty and I even heard that some brands launch new products here!

3. Generation Beauty by Ipsy

This is another super popular event among the blogger and vlogger community. It's a great event to connect with brands and sample products. Plus you get a goody bag for attending too!

4. Makeup Show - New York
(At the Metropolitan Pavilion)

This event offers showcases where you can sample and learn more about a variety of products such as; makeup, skincare, nail care, perfume and fragrances, and hair care!

5. DIY Makeup Expo
(At Red Hook Labs, Brooklyn NY)

All attendees at this event will have the chance to undergo mini makeovers, where you'll learns loads of stuff about makeup application and techniques. There's even the opportunity to purchase and sample products and connect with other people in the field!

I used an amazing website to help me make my list of beauty conferences to attend! Eventbrite.com is a website that allows you to create, share, find, and attend different events. You can find conferences, rallies, fundraisers, competitions, music events, and so much more! It's not just limited to beauty either, there are tons of events that cater to everyone's interests.

Eventbrite allows you to search for events by location (ex. NYC/LA) and by category so it's super easy to find the event you're looking for. You can save events for future reference or purchase your tickets straight from the site when you create a free account on eventbrite.com. I saved a ton of beauty and fashion events I'm interested in! You can also connect your Facebook account to see if any of your friends are also attending!
You can even create your own events on Eventbrite with their conference management page!

What do you think about my Beauty Conference Bucket List? What are some beauty events you want to attend within the next year? Let me know in the comments!
